This produced a state-of-the-art report about the current curriculum developments of the EU tertiary education devoted to aspects and needs of peripheral rural areas. The methodology commonly agreed by the project team (online search of HE curricula) brought results on the skills and abilities graduates obtained in the partners’ countries. At the next stage, local focus groups met, and questionnaires were handled, via internet, in order to expand the understanding about education and skills needs of the professionals working in the peripheral rural areas (farmers, advisory, small industry, NGOs, public sector etc).
